Wobbles, currently a 1st year Chemical Engineering student at KNUST has had passion for music ever since he was a lil boy. Known in private life as Prince Assumang Da-Costa, he can bluntly be described as a phenomenal double-edged sword who has brilliantly combined his academics with making music. With
the Ghanaian music industry drawing in lots of international attention, Da-Costa
is set to take the industry to amazing heights. Da-Costa –is a star in the
making whose music is catching on fast in the urban section of the country.
Despite picking up the love for music at
an early age, it was in St. Augustine’s college that he nurtured his talent. He
found himself in an environment filled with people who shared his dream to be a
star in the entertainment industry, specifically by engaging themselves in the
genres of hip-life and hip-hop. Together with these promising rappers he
recorded 2 tracks and these tracks won awards on their 2009 awards night. Due
to his resilience and will to succeed in show business Da-Costa kept at it,
attempting to build a successful career while sticking with his plan of
entering an institution of higher learning that is, Kwame Nkrumah University Of
Science and Technology as a chemical engineering student. The Beat maker, Odo Nsuo,
who liked his style of rapping, decided to work with him to bring that
potential in him out and give him the opportunity to be recognized in the Ghana
music industry. In working with Odo Nsuo a sound engineer, Da-Costa has evolved
pleasantly unexpected.
Da-Costa aims to reach beyond the shores
of the African continent with his unique style of music. His inspiration comes
from his admiration for artistes such as Asem, R2bees, Sarkodie, Guru, Drake,
lil Wayne, Ludacris and all good rappers.
It is the versatile mix of creativity and flexibility provided by these
artistes that gives Da-Costa his unique approach to music. With his instant hit
songs that is 3HYEHY3 3HE, GATI GAGA and FAIR WARNING REMIX? Da-Costa has been treated
like the next big thing and he is working hard not to fail but live up to the tag.
Da-Costa is rapidly growing as an artiste and he has mastered the art of
performing whether in the recording booth or on stage and his ability to rap,
is doing him no harm in catapulting him to the forefront of the Ghanaian
